Novak Djokovic Creates History
The semi-final appearance in 2025 will mark the 14th time that Djokovic will play in the semi-final of the year's only grass court Grand Slam. With this stunning achievement, the Serbian has broken Roger Federer's long-standing world record and become the first player to feature in the last four of Wimbledon 14 times. Federer achieved the feat 13 times and for many years held the record for reaching the most men's singles semi-final.

Djokovic has also reached the 52nd Grand Slam semi-final of his career, which has equalled Chris Evert's record for the most by a player (male or female) in the Open Era. The Serbian already held the record for the most appearances in the last four of majors among male players, with Federer (46) second.
The Serbian (38 years, 48 days) is also the second-oldest male player in history to reach the semi-final at Wimbledon, only behind Ken Rosewall (39 years, 233 days) in 1974. Djokovic is the first player in the 21st century to reach the last four at SW19. Federer previously held the record (37 years, 325 in 2021).
