Virat Kohli made a rare public appearance as he was spotted at the iconic centre court of the All England Lawn and Croquet Club on Monday (July 7) where he watched Novak Djokovic defeat Alex de Minaur in the Round of 16 of the 2025 Wimbledon men's singles.

While Kohli was not initially pictured by the television cameras, photos emerged of him sitting in the stands with his wife Anushka Sharma. The Indian cricket legend also took ot Instagram and shared a picture taken by him of watching Djokovic in action and labelled the Serbian as a 'Gladiator.'

After the match ended, the Indian cricket legend spoke about his visit to the iconic venue in a chat with Tennis legend Vijay Amritraj for Jiostar. The ex-Indian captain was asked about his prediction for the 2025 men's singles draw and predicted a final between Djokovic and Alcaraz. Kohli also labelled Djokovic as the greatest Tennis player of all time and revealed the duo have continued to stay in touch over the last few years.

"I have been in touch with Novak for a while. I have exchanged some messages. He has been very gracious and kind. So I will say I want Novak and Carlos in the finals and probably Novak to win.That will be a tremendous thing for him at the stage of his career he is. In the conversation of being the greatest of all time, he is right up there with anyone else if not the number one. The maximum number of grand slams. He deserves it with the amount of hard work he has put. I really wish he plays Carlos in the final and he wins," said Kohli.

In the women's singles draw, Kohli stated that world no.1 Aryana Sabalenka will be difficult to beat.
