MS Dhoni is celebrating his 44th birthday on Monday (July 7). The India legend lives a private life in Ranchi and stays away from the limelight. Dhoni doesn't use social media and is not active on any of the platforms. Despite Dhoni staying away from social media, X is flooded with birthday wishes for him. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) took to X to share an unseen video of Dhoni on his birthday. Dhoni can be seen bowling in the nets in the video.

The right-arm bowler was aiming for the stumps while bowling. He missed the stumps completely in the first three attempts. He finally hit the off-stump on the fourth delivery. Dhoni hit the stump on the fifth ball as well. CSK's unseen video is likely to garner huge attention on social media.

Dhoni has been with CSK since the league's inception. He decided against joining any team as a marquee player before IPL 2008 and he entered the mega-auction. CSK made the winning bid for him and bought him for Rs 6 crore (approx). Dhoni was the costliest pick in the inaugural IPL auction.

He captained CSK to the final of IPL 2008 while they made it to the second round of the next season. CSK won back-to-back IPL titles in 2010 and 2011. They lost the finals of IPL 2012, 2013 and 2015 while they made it to the second round in 2014.

CSK made a memorable return in IPL 2018 and defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final to lift the trophy. They lost to Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2019 final. CSK won the IPL 2021 and 2023 trophies.

Dhoni left CSK's captaincy before IPL 2024 and he now plays under Ruturaj Gaikwad's leadership. CSK retained Dhoni in the uncapped category for Rs 4 crore before the IPL 2025 mega-auction. He is likely to play IPL for a couple of more seasons.
