Vietnam's Quang Duong remains the No. 1 pickler in Asia in both singles and doubles, as the latest DUPR Asia Continental Rankings revealed. Armaan Bhatia of India trails Duong in doubles but has slipped to the fifth spot in singles. Harsh Mehta, Kailas Shekar, and Santosh Narayanan are the other three Indian players in the top 10 of the doubles rankings.
Duong has accumulated 6,638 points in men’s doubles and 6,865 points in men’s singles, with both totals placing the 19-year-old at the top of DUPR's Asian rankings. He holds a commanding lead in singles, sitting 441 points ahead of second-placed Eric Roddy of the Philippines and 453 points clear of compatriot Phuc Huynh. In doubles, Armaan trails him with 6,341 points.
Duong managed to maintain his place at the top despite being suspended from PPA tour events and fined $50,000 by the UPA in May 2025 for participating in an unrecognised tournament in Lao Cai, Vietnam. However, he surpassed India’s Armaan in men’s doubles and Eric Roddy (6,424 points) in men’s singles.
In men’s doubles, Duong - a PPA Tour player and a regular in Major League Pickleball - is 200 points clear of Armaan and Harsh, the third-ranked player in the system. In singles, Armaan continues to be the blue-eyed boy of Indian pickleball. In May, he stunned Alex Crum - the player who had earlier upset PPA Tour No. 1 Federico Staksrud at the Veolia Atlanta Pickleball Championships - to win the APP New York City Open title. This followed his impressive performance at the US Open Pickleball Championships, where he bagged a bronze medal in men’s doubles with Harsh Mehta. Armaan is now set for his next tournament in the US, the APP Newport Beach Open, scheduled for July 2–6.
Duong, one of the most exciting talents in Asia, is set to focus on his PPA Tour engagements after completing the suspension imposed on him by the UPA. He is currently ranked No. 6 in the PPA Tour and is expected to play in the Bristol Open and the Open at the Las Vegas Strip in August, followed by the Veolia Cincinnati Slam and the Pickleball Central Sacramento Vintage Open in September.
