
Rishabh Pant Eyes History In 2nd Test Vs England, Will Become First Player In The World To Achieve HUGE Feat

India were defeated by 5 wickets in the first Test of the 5-match series at the Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds. Despite the loss, one of the players who put up a spectacular performance was Rishabh Pant. He slammed two centuries in two inninings, slamming multiple world records. As India look to level the series when they face England in the second Test of the series at Edgbaston, Birmingham, Pant will be a crucial weapon in the arsenal of Shubman Gill's men. Pant himself is chasing a record that no other player has ever done.
Rishabh Pant slammed 134 and 118 in he two innings against England in the first Test. Before this match, he slammed 146 in the last Test he played in England in 2021 at Birmingham. If he scores another century in any of the two innings in the second Test, then he will become the first away player in history to score four centuries in three consecutive Tests against England.
In fact, he will also become the first Indian to score three centuries in two consecutive Test matches. A century in Birmingham would mean that Rishabh Pant would also become the first Indian batter to score multiple Test centuries at the iconic venue in England

Rishabh Pant was in sublime form in the first Test at Headingley. He scored 134 in the first innings and 118 in the second. He became the first Indian wicketkeeper batter and the second overall after Andy Flower to hit centuries in both innings of a Test Match.
Pant now has 8 centuries in Test Cricket to his name. He has thus overtaken MS Dhoni to become the wicketkeeper with the most Test tons for India. Dhoni had 6 scores of 100 and above to his name in the longest format.
