India suffered a crushing defeat to England in the first Test at Headingley, Leeds. India had their moments in the Test, but they let the advantage slip away. Bumrah broke down in the fifth Test in Australia after playing all matches, and it was decided that India would use him efficiently on the England tour to manage his workload. According to reports, India will rest Jasprit Bumrah in the second Test. That's a concern for the team because Bumrah is by far their best bowler, and his absence will put a lot of pressure on the inexperienced bowling attack. The reports state that Arshdeep Singh could make his debut and replace Bumrah in the playing XI for the second test.
