The first Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy is set to have an intriguing end at the Leeds Cricket Ground. The equation is clear for both teams: India need 10 wickets while England are 350 runs away from the target. Unless there are spells of rain, the game is highly likely to have a clear winner. Both teams would give it their all to kick off the series on a winning note. Ben Stokes-led England finished day 4 with a score of 21/0 on the board.
Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley will come out in the first over of the final day. Jasprit Bumrah will have the six-over old ball in his hand. The right-arm pacer spent 9 runs in his 3 overs in the final few minutes of the day's play.
The former India vice-captain took a five-fer in the first innings and the fans have high hopes from him. Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj willl have an important role to play as Bumrah will need adequate rest between his spells.
Shardul Thakur, who pipped Nitish Reddy for a place in the playing XI, will also need to prove his worth with the ball. He has often broken partnerships with his magic arm and will hope to do the same on the final day
When will day 5 of India-England Test match start?
The fifth and final day of the first Test match between India and England will start at 3:30 PM IST. There are high chances of rain playing a spoilsport on the final day. Rain hasn't impacted the game much and the fans will hope that it stays away on the final day.
India haven't won a Test series in England since 2007. A young team led by Shubman Gill is eyeing to end India's drought of a Test series win in England.
