Jaiswal has been a great find for India and has shown the ability to score across various conditions. He has scored a century in England, Australia, India, and the West Indies in his short career.

The second innings of the first Test didn't go his way as he was dismissed for 4, but he would hope to deliver better performances in the next games.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Nearing Don Bradman's Feat

Meanwhile, Yashasvi Jaiswal could script history in the second Test against England. Jaiswal is 183 runs away from becoming the first player in the world to score 1000 Test runs against England in less than 13 innings. The record for the fastest to 1000 runs against England is held by Don Bradman, who reached the milestone in 13 innings. Jaiswal has 817 runs in 10 innings, so he needs to get the runs in two innings to break the record.
Meanwhile, Jaiswal also needs 97 runs in the next two innings to become the fastest to 2000 runs in Test cricket among batters from India. Jaiswal, who has scored 1903 runs so far, has played 38 innings, and the record for the fastest to 2000 runs among Indians is held by Rahul Dravid and Virender Sehwag, who reached the milestone in 40 innings.
The second Test between England and India will be played at Edgbaston, Birmingham, from July 2.
