Rishabh Pant Creates History

Pant's blistering knock helped him create history in England. The six sixes Pant scored were the most in a Test innings in England. The record for most sixes in a Test innings in England was held by Ross Taylor, who scored five sixes in 2008. Rishant Pant - The Greatest Indian Wicketkeeper Batter?

Pant has already scored seven international hundreds, five of which have come in overseas conditions. He has three centuries in England, and one each in South Africa and Australia, showing his versatility across conditions. MS Dhoni is often regarded as the greatest wicketkeeper-batter in Indian cricket history, but Pant has clearly overtaken him, at least in terms of his batting abilities, and the record proves it. Pant's seven centuries put him at the top of the list of most centuries by Indian wicketkeeper-batters. He broke the record set by MS Dhoni, who scored six hundreds.
Pant is a tremendous batter, but he has a great record as a wicketkeeper as well. Pant took the catch of Ollie Pope on Day 3 of the Headingley Test and became the third Indian wicketkeeper-batter to take 150 catches in Test cricket. He is only behind MS Dhoni (258) and Syed Kirmani (151) in the list. Pant also broke MS Dhoni's record of most dismissals by an Asian wicketkeeper-batter in SENA countries. Dhoni held the record with 109 dismissals, and Pant now has 110 scalps to his name.
