Yuvraj Singh's father and former India cricketer himself, Yograj Singh has time and again launched verbal tirades against MS Dhoni. In multiple instances, he has criticized MS Dhoni for taking Yuvraj's position as captain. Now, he has launched a fresh attack on MS Dhoni, and has accused selectors of favouring his decision. However, he did not take the legendary India captain's name directly.
In an interaction with InsideSport, Yograj Singh said that there was a combination of younger and older players in the Indian team earlier. Players like Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar co-existed with youngsters like Yuvraj Singh and Mohammed Kaif. However, the selectors ruined everything by standing for one person.
“(We had) Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Javagal Srinath, Anil Kumble, and others. Bhajji (Harbhajan Singh), Yuvi (Yuvraj), Viru (Virender Sehwag), (Mohammed) Kaif, Zaheer (Khan) among youngsters. Combination of elder and younger brothers. That's why they could lead the youngsters and become the greatest of all time. And what we did? We burned out the whole house by just standing for one person. I won't name him. Where is he? See what happened,” Yograj said.
“When you give love, you get people like Sachin, Yuvi, Gambhir, Viru. They will never go down the drain. They will always be stars,” he added.

Yograj Singh Lashes Out At Selectors

Yograj Singh has lashed out at the selectors for almost ousting most of the senior players after the 2011 World Cup like Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singhm Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan.
“You (BCCI selectors) just destroyed these boys for no reason. Boys like Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Mohammed Kaif, VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid. You just made them go after 2011," the former cricketer added.
