- The final will take place in Bengaluru, but could be moved out
- India are looking to win the tournament for the first time
India and Sri Lanka will play the opening match of the 2025 Women's Cricket World Cup in Bengaluru on September 30, while the Women in Blue will face Pakistan outside Indian shores at Colombo's R Premadasa Stadium on October 5. A total of five cities, including four in India will host the event.
While India is the sole host nation of the tournament, a special agreement struck between India and Pakistan ahead of the 2025 Champions Trophy means that both will not travel to each other's shores for any ICC event, and a hybrid model will be followed.
Pakistan will play all their matches in Colombo. The final is scheduled to take place on November 2 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, if Pakistan qualifies for the mega clash, it will take place in Colombo. A similar arrangement is in store for the first semi-final, which has been awarded to Guwahati but will be shifted to the Sri Lankan city if the Women in Green qualify.
Alongside Bengaluru and Colombo, Guwahati, Indore, and Visakhapatnam will also host matches.
