India and Pakistan women's cricket teams will lock horns in a mega World Cup clash on October 5. The fixture will take place at a neutral venue - R Premadasa Stadium in Sri Lanka. Pakistan will not travel to India for the ICC event and play all their matches in Sri Lanka. This also means that one of the semi-finals and the final will be shifted to Sri Lanka if Pakistan manage to make it to that stage.
The Times of India has reported that the Women in Blue will likely kick off their campaign against Sri Lanka on September 30. The fixture will take place in Bengaluru. India will travel to Sri Lanka for their second game against Pakistan.
The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will likely face South Africa, Australia, England, New Zealand and Bangladesh in their next league stage matches on October 9, 12, 19, 23 and 26, respectively.
Defending champions Australia will kick off their campaign against New Zealand on October 1. They will face Pakistan on October 8. They will take on arch-rivals, England, on October 22 in Indore.
Pakistan will kick off their campaign against Bangladesh on October 2. They will take on India, England, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka in their next league stage matches on October 5, 15, 18, 21 and 24, respectively.
The final of the ICC event is scheduled to be played on October 29. Pakistan, if they qualify, will play the first semi-final on October 29. The knockout game will be played in Guwahati if Pakistan fail to make it to the second round. The second semi-final will be held on October 30 in Bengaluru.
The summit clash of the 2025 Women's World Cup will take place in Bengaluru on November 2. The fixture will be shifted to Sri Lanka if Pakistan cricket team qualifies for the final.
