South Africa defeated the defending champions Australia by five wickets on Saturday, June 14, to win their first ICC trophy since the 1998 ICC KnockOut Trophy (now known as the ICC Champions Trophy), capping the 2023–25 cycle of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC). After winning the final, South Africa will get a substantial amount of ICC prize money in addition to the ICC WTC 2025 mace.
Before the final began, the ICC revealed the largest prize fund ever for a WTC tournament. As a result, both the winners, Proteas, and the runners-up, Aussies, took home substantial sums of money. However, what are the earnings of each of the nine teams in the ICC WTC 2023–25 cycle?

South Africa, the victor of the 2025 ICC World Test Championship Final, will get $3.6 million. With eight victories, three defeats, and one tie from twelve games and a points percentage (PCT) of 69.44, South Africa took first place in the WTC standings. They went on to win the WTC mace by defeating Australia in a seesaw final at Lord's.
The ICC will award $2.16 million to Australia, the runners-up in the WTC 2025 Final, as they failed to defend their championship. Despite being clear favorites to win after the first two days, Australia absolutely collapsed on Day Three as the Proteas, led by Temba Bavuma, walked away with a win.
India will get $1.44 million after placing third in the WTC rankings. During the cycle, India played 19 games, winning nine, losing eight, and drawing two. They ended up with a PCT of 50.00 after accruing 114 points.
