Hardik Pandya 'In Tears' After RCB Lift Maiden IPL Title In 18 Years

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2025 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in a thrilling match by 6 runs. This was a dream-come-true moment for the players and a plethora of fans. The hero of the final for RCB was Krunal Pandya who turned the game around with a spell of 2/17 in his four overs. Krunal's brother and Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has now shared an emotional reaction to RCB's win and Krunal's performance in the final.
In a story on his Instagram profile, Hardik Pandya posted a picture of Krunal during the final. He said that he was in tears, and was proud of him.
"In tears right now. Proud of you bhai," Hardik wrote

Krunal Pandya won the Player of the Match for his exceptional bowling performance against PBKS in the final. This is the second time in his IPL career that Krunal has won the POTM award in the summit clash. He also won the prize in the 2017 final when his all-round brilliance helped Mumbai Indians (MI) defeat Rising Pune Super Giants (RPSG) by one run in Hyderabad.
Krunal played a vital knock of 47 in 38 balls to help MI post a total of 129 on the board after being 79-7 at one stage. He also gave away just 31 runs in his four-over spell.
Krunal is now the first player in history from across the world to win the MOTM in an IPL final twice.
'
Told Hardik There Will Be 9 Trophies In 11 Years'
In the post-match presentation ceremony, Krunal Pandya revealed that when he joined RCB, he told them that he loved winning trophies. In fact, he promised Hardik Pandya that there would be 9 trophies in 11 years in the Pandya household.
"When I joined RCB, I told them that I love winning trophies. After three and a half months, glad that I was able to fulfil what I said on Day 1. I literally manifested it. It has been pretty good. 10 years, 4 IPL trophies. I told Hardik on the phone that in the Pandya household, there will be nine trophies in 11 years,"
