Virat Kohli 'Was Not Ready To Give Up' Test Cricket; Relationship With Gautam Gambhir Under Scanner

Virat Kohli will be the key player that everyone will have their eyes on during the IPL 2025 final between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). Fans will have to wait for a long time to see Kohli on the field next, since the superstar batter has retired from Test Cricket and will not be part of the India vs England series starting from June 20. His decision to retire from the longest format of the game came as a shock to many, and now, former Australia captain Alyssa Healy, along with Australian broadcaster Adam Peacock, has made some bombshell comments.
Alyssa Healy claimed that she saw a video of Virat Kohli practicing with red balls during the IPL 2025. However, something has gone wrong in the last couple of weeks. She also claimed that Kohli was not ready to give up Test cricket.
"I saw a video of him hitting red balls during IPL. Something's gone on in the last couple of weeks. I don't know what it is. I was like, 'interesting'. I don't think he was ready to give it up. I would say that," Healy said on the Willow Talk Podcast.

Adam Peacock claimed that there is more to the relationship between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli, and the details will unravel in time to come.
"Given he doesn't exactly need to play the final, pack his bags, and get out to England. I was speaking to someone last week with a knowledge of the situation, and I think there's more to come in the whole story of the Gambhir-Kohli relationship," Peacock said.
Top BCCI Official Wants Virat Kohli To Reconsider Retirement
IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal, in an interaction with PTI, asked Virat Kohli to reconsider his decision to retire from Test Cricket.
"I want Virat to continue playing even after RCB wins the trophy. The whole country would want Virat to continue, and I would want him to reconsider his decision to retire from Test Cricket," Dhumal said.
