Rishabh Pant became the most expensive player in IPL history when he was bought for Rs 27 crore by Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2025 mega auction. However, contrary to his hype and expectations, the LSG skipper has failed to pull off any significant performances this season. He has scored 135 runs from 12 games at an average of 12.27 and a strike rate of just 100. His poor form has also been pin pointed as one of the reasons why LSG crashed out of the IPL 2025. Now, former cricketer and Yuvraj Singh's father has given some no-nonsense advice to the out-of-form star.

In an interaction with IANS, Yograj Singh said that Rishabh Pant's problem can be fixed in just five minutes, with focused correction. He pointed out that Pant's head wasn't steady and his left shoulder was not opening too much.

“Rishabh Pant’s problem can be fixed in just five minutes. His head isn’t steady, and his left shoulder is opening up too much. With a bit of focused correction, he’ll be back to his best in no time," Yograj said.

Rishabh Pant can next be seen in action in the match between LSG and Gujarat Titans on May 22. He needs to find form as he will be a crucial part of India's upcoming five-match Test Series against England.

Reports have stated that Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant are the two leading candidates to replace Rohit Sharma as the new Test captain, after Jasprit Bumrah opted out of the race since he might not play all five Tests vs England due to workload management.

However, the selectors are divided over who to name among Pant or Gill as the new Test Captain. One selector has reservations regarding Gill as he is not an automatic first-team choice for India in the longest format. He believes that Giull is more suited to a vice-captaincy role.
