The fate of the T20 International series between Pakistan and Bangladesh remains unclear, with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) now weighing a reduced three-match series as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) continues to delay its response.
Initially planned as a five-match affair starting May 25, the series has been affected by the rescheduling of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches and a lack of commitment from the BCB.
With just a week to go, PCB sources confirm that the series may be scaled down to just three matches to accommodate Bangladesh’s concerns over player fatigue.
The PCB had hoped to host two matches in Faisalabad and three in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
However, logistical challenges may now force all matches to be held in Lahore, allowing for streamlined security and travel arrangements.
The new proposed schedule, running from May 27 to June 5, has been sent to the BCB — but the visiting board has yet to respond officially.
Reports suggest that multiple Bangladeshi players have expressed hesitation about playing a full five-match series due to continuous cricketing commitments, fueling uncertainty.
