A day after announcing his retirement from Test cricket, Virat Kohli was spotted at the Mumbai airport and was greeted by paps with questions over his retirement. The Indian cricket legend returned after taking a flight from Delhi after being spotted at a religious site in Vrindavan earlier in the day.
As Kohli stepped out of the arrival arena at the Mumbai airport, paps were desperate to capture an image of him. Naturally, they were keen to hear more from Kohli on his decision to quit Test cricket, which he announced on Monday (May 12) through an Instagram post.
'Sir Apne galat kiya. aapne retirement kyu liya. Ab ham cricket hi nahi dekhenge. Aapke liye main test cricket dekhta tha (Sir, why did you take retirement. We will not watch cricket now. We used to watch Test cricket for you)," the pap was heard saying.
Kohli was evidently surprised by the remarks, and his reaction went viral on social media.Later, the ex-Indian captain urged the paparazzi to allow wife, Anushka Sharma, to sit in the car.
Later, as the couple settled in their vehicle, another pap told Kohli 'Virat Sir ham cricket nah dekhenge, wait karenege. ODI dekhnege. Is baar RCB jeetenga. (We will not watch cricket. Sir, we will wait. We will watch ODI Cricket. This time RCB will win)," said a pap.

Kohli's decision has come days before India announces their Test squad ahead of the five-match Test series against England, which is scheduled to start on June 20. Kohli played 123 Test matches for India and finished his career as the country's fourth-highest run-getter and century-hitter in red-ball cricket. Kohli is also India's most successful Test captain, having led the country in 68 matches and won 40 times.
