Indian players, who are currently busy in the IPL, have a hectic international calendar lined up. The team will play a five-match Test series in England straight after the IPL. It's a big series for India, and they'll be keen to end up on the winning side. India's next ODI series will be against Bangladesh, where the Men in Blue will play three ODIs in August in Bangladesh. The England series will end on August 4, and barely after two weeks on August 17, the Bangladesh ODI series will get underway. Given that top players would have played non-stop cricket, India's squad should be different from what they played in the ICC Champions Trophy.

The series will mark the beginning of India's preparations for the ODI World Cup. Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have expressed interest in playing cricket till the 2027 ODI World Cup, and all eyes will be on them if they feature in the series. The veterans are retired from T20Is, and their Test fate will be sealed in England. If they do well, the players will most likely skip the England tour, but if the tour doesn't go as planned, they might shift their focus to ODI cricket.

As for the India squad, Shreyas Iyer, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, and Varun Chakravarthy should be part of the squad against Bangladesh. It's very likely that Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill won't play the ODI series, so Sanju Samson and Ruturaj Gaikwad should be able to find a place in the squad. Ishan Kishan is also very likely to make a comeback, while Sai Sudharsan will be on the radar of selectors after an impressive IPL. Suryakumar Yadav should also get another shot in the ODI team. In terms of all-rounders, Nitish Reddy and R Sai Kishore could be picked, while Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, and Khaleel Ahmed could be the fast bowling options.
