Tensions between India and Pakistan are at their peak after the dastardly terrorist attack at the Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam, Kashmir, where 26 innocent civilians, most of them tourists, were killed. Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi made some pretty questionable remarks on the Indian Army, to which Shikhar Dhawan gave a befitting reply. Now Afridi has once again taken a senseless potshot at the Army while replying to Dhawan.
"Chouro jeet haar ko, aao tumhey chae pilata hun Shikhar. (Forget about winning and losing, come, let me serve you tea, Shikhar)," Afridi replied on Dhawan's post on X. He even posted a photo of himself wearing a t-shirt with army colours.

Shahid Afridi Insults Indian Army, Shikhar Dhawan Retaliates
In an interaction with Pakistan TV channel Samaa TV, Shahid Afridi went on a questionable rant against India and its army.
"Patakha phat jaata hai wahaa par, Pakistan ne kiya. Tum logo ki 8 lakh ki fauj hai Kashmir mein aur ye ho gaya. Iska matlab nalayak ho, nikamme ho na tum log ki security nahi de sake logo ko.” (Even if a cracker bursts there, you blame Pakistan. You have an 8 lakh-strong army in Kashmir, yet this happened. This means your Army is useless for not being able to protect your people.)
These irresponsible comments did not go down well with Indians, and former India batter Shikhar Dhawan strongly replied to the ex-Pakistan cricketer
shikhar to afridi
"Kargil mein bhi haraya tha, already itna gire hue ho aur kitna giroge, bewajah comments pass karne se acha hai apne desh ki taraqqi mai dimag lagao @SAfridiOfficial. Humein hamari Indian Army par bohot garv hai. Bharat Mata Ki Jai! Jai Hind! (We defeated you in the Kargil war. To what levels can you stoop to? Instead of passing unnecessary comments, you should focus on how your country can progress)," Shikhar Dhawan wrote on his X account.
Not First Time For Shahid Afridi
This is not the first time that Shahid Afridi's anti-India statements were clearly visible. In 2018, he went on a long Twitter rant where he criticized India as an 'oppressive regime' who were committing atrocities in Kashmir. This statement was heavily criticized by one and all, with Gautam Gambhir giving him a befitting reply on his X account. The two then had an online war of words.
Afridi has also made some snide remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for which he was heavily criticized as well.
