Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal traveled by Metro to reach the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi for his team's IPL 2025 match against the Kolkata Knight Riders on April 29. Jindal impressed fans by sharing a glimpse of his metro ride on social media as he headed to support his team in what was already expected to be a pivotal match for both DC and the struggling KKR.
This season, DC has been playing exceptionally well and is hoping to win their first IPL trophy. But the Capitals are eager to defeat KKR after their previous defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru. In an effort to demonstrate his support and avoid missing the match, Jindal chose the well-traveled metro route, which further won over franchise fans.
Kolkata is in a must-win situation, while Delhi aims to resume their winning momentum. The playoff scenario for the defending champions got much more difficult after a thunderstorm in Kolkata washed out their previous game against the Punjab Kings. For KKR to have a chance of qualifying, they must now win every remaining game.
With DC's squad featuring in-form players like KL Rahul, Mitchell Starc, Tristan Stubbs, and Kuldeep Yadav, KKR will have a big task at their hand. Parth Jindal could not afford to miss the match because the stakes were so high.
Talking about the match, DC won the toss and elected to bowl first. KKR who made only one change and brought in Anukol Roy made their intentions clear that they are eyeing a big score after Rahmanullah Gurabaz smashed the very first ball of the match by Mitchell Starc for a boundary.
KKR managed to post 204/9 from good and crucial contributions from everybody. No batter managed to put a massive score but their knocks came at a good pace which allowed the team to post a big total. Young Angkrish Raghuvanshi was the highest scorer for the team with 44 runs off 32 balls, followed by Rinku Singh's 36-run knock off 25 balls. As for Delhi Capitals, Starc picked up three wickets. Meanwhile, Vipraj Nigam and Axar Patel got two wickets each and Dushmantha Chameera settled with one.
