Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty KL Rahul's evolving style in T20 cricket and stated that the Delhi Capitals star has been having more fun with his game since joining his new team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The Bollywood superstar admitted that he loved the 'my ground' celebration that his son-in-law did after game-winning knock against Royal Challengers Bengaluru earlier in April, which even went viral across the social media.

Before the Delhi Capitals' home match against the Kolkata Knight Riders, Suniel Shetty told reporters that he personally called KL Rahul to tell him how much he loved the Bengaluru experience.

"I loved it. Even when I see it now, I get goosebumps. Every cricketer should have a moment like that. He believes, 'I can do it, and I have done it'. You know, that was one of the first times I called him and said how much I loved it," said Suniel Shetty.

"I think that came after the World Cup and the World Test Championship - he showed that he can finish, and he believes in himself," he added.

After leaving the Lucknow Super Giants, where he seemed to be under a lot of strain, especially last season, KL Rahul has been at his most expressive in the IPL 2025. He let his emotions run free in Bengaluru after hitting a match-winning 93 off 53 deliveries. When the need arises, Rahul has shown that he can bat in different gears and disregard prudence. In nine games, he has amassed 364 runs at a strike rate of 146, which is his highest since the 2018 IPL.

Rahul has finally admitted the value of hitting big and playing without fear of failure in the shortest format, after previously saying that strike rate was overvalued in T20s. After a successful stint with the Indian national team, which included winning the Champions Trophy earlier this year, he is making a comeback in the IPL 2025.
