Vaibhav Suryavanshi grabbed all the limelight as Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) in an exciting IPL 2025 encounter at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The 14-year-old Vaibhav slammed a century in 35 balls, thus breaking multiple records and creating history. This historic innings is sure to be a moment of pride for the youngster's family, who hail from a small town called Samastipur in Bihar. Vaibhav and his father's emotional conversation after the match has now gone viral.

In a video posted by Rajasthan Royals on their X account, Vaibhav Suryavanshi can be seen saying that he wanted to call his father, Sanjiv the first thing after scoring his century. As his father received the call, the first thing that the youngster said was 'Papa pranaam'. The two then proceeded to have a short but heartfelt conversation where his father expressed pride in what his son had done. Sanjiv also thanked Romi Bhinder, the coach who spotted his talent in the trials.

"He has made our village, Bihar, and the whole of India proud. We could not be happier and are celebrating. I want to thank the Rajasthan Royals who worked on him extensively in the last three-four months," Sanjiv told in an official video released by the Bihar Cricket Association.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi slammed 101 runs from 37 balls in a dazzling innings studded with 7 fours and 11 massive sixes. He thus becomes the youngest player in history to slam a century in T20 cricket, and also in the IPL, at just 14 years and 42 days.

Suryavanshi hit his century in 35 balls against the Gujarat Titans. This was the fastest century by an Indian in the history of the IPL. This was also the second-fastest ton overall in the IPL after Chris Gayle's 30-ball hundred against Pune Warriors India in IPL 2013.
