14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi made history by scoring the second-fastest century in Indian Premier League history on Monday, 28 April. The Bihar-born Rajasthan Royals batter reached his century in just 35 balls, helping Rajasthan chase 210 against Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Vaibhav also set a world record for being the youngest male cricketer to score a century in T20 cricket, surpassing Maharashtra batter Vijay Hari Zol, who had become the youngest to score a T20 hundred in 2013 at the age of 18.

Suryavanshi on his knock

The young sensation was extremely happy with this knock. He said that he has been practising a lot for this tournament and now the results have finally shown. He also praised Yashsavi Jaiswal for how he keeps the atmosphere positive and helps him. He also said it was a dream come true for him
"It is a very good feeling. It's my first hundred in the IPL and it's my third innings. The result has shown here after the practice before the tournament. I just see the ball and play. Batting with Jaiswal is good, he tells me what to do and he infuses positive things. It has been a dream to get a 100 in the IPL and today it materialised. There is no fear. I don't think much, I just focus on playing," said Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the post-match presentation.
All things considered, this is the second-fastest IPL century, narrowly behind Chris Gayle's 30-ball ton for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Pune Warriors in 2013. The Bihar southpaw thrashed Ishant Sharma, a 105 Tests veteran for India, for 28 runs, including three sixes and two fours, in the fourth over of RR's chase. In the tenth over, he also hit debutant Karim Janat for 30 runs. He was eventually dismissed on 101 (38) by Prasidh Krishna.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 14-year-old sensation for the Rajasthan Royals (RR), broke several long-standing Indian Premier League (IPL) records as he helped his team pick up a commanding 8-wicket win against Gujarat Titans (GT).
