  • RR equalled Kerala's world record
  • RR broke RCB's all-time IPL record
Rajasthan Royals created history on Monday (April 27) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur as they ended a five-match losing streak by registering an eight-wicket victory over the Gujarat Titans (GT) to keep their faint hopes of qualifying for the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) playoffs alive.
Chasing a total of 210, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi etched his name in the history books with a stunning knock that saw him score his maiden IPL century and become the second-quickest player in the league's history to score a century. Suryanshi (101 of 38) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (70 of 40) put up a show to remember with a 166-run opening partnership. RR completed the run-chase to seal an eight-wicket win with 25 balls to spare.

Rajasthan Royals Equal World Record

Royals' run chase in the joint-quickest (200+) in T20 cricket history alongside Kerala, who also chased down a total of 201 against Mumbai in the 2021 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) at the Wankhede Stadium. Ironically, Kerala were led by RR's permanent skipper Sanju Samson in that match.
