Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take on Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 47th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, on Monday, April 28, 2025. With Sanju Samson not available for selection due to an injury, Riyan Parag will continue to lead the side, while Shubman Gill will captain the Gujarat Titans in Jaipur.
Having lost five matches on a trot, RR will once again aim to get back to winning ways in order to give themselves an outside chance of qualifying for the playoffs. GT, on the other hand, have won their last two games comprehensively, and a win in Jaipur will take them closer to sealing their playoffs spot.
Gujarat are firm favourite to win the contest in Jaipur, given their form and record against Rajasthan. The two teams have played against each other on seven occasions, with the Titans winning six out of those encounters against the Royals.
Pitch Report
The pitch at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, tends to be on the slower side and has never been a very high-scoring venue. With square boundaries bigger than most of the other stadiums, the spinners will have a role to play on that pitch. The new ball might do a bit, but the batters will largely have to adjust to the pace of the pitch to get their team to a respectable total. Batting might become a tad easier under lights, but teams here have successfully defended par scores ranging between 170-180. Lucknow Super Giants were able to defend 180 in their last game against the Royals.
