Sanjana Ganesan, wife of India pacer Jasprit Bumrah, lashed out at social media trolls for mocking her son, Angad Bumrah, over his facial expression during Mumbai Indians' (MI) thrilling win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Wankhede Stadium.

Ganesan didn't mince words while slamming the trolls, saying her son is not a topic for entertainment. She urged all to stop making assumptions about her child, who is just over a year old.

"Our son is NOT a topic for your entertainment. Jasprit and I do everything in our power to keep Angad away from social media because the internet is a despicable, vile place to be and I completely understand the implications of bringing a child to a cricket stadium filled with cameras, but please understand that Angad and I were there to support Jasprit and nothing else," she said in her strong message to trolls," wrote Ganesan.

Ganesan was also angry at people for using words like trauma and depression to describe her son.

“Throwing around words like trauma and depression in reference to a baby says so much about who we're becoming as a community and it's honestly really sad. You know nothing about our son, nothing about our lives and I request you to keep your opinions online true to that,” she added.

Jasprit Bumrah Creates History

Jasprit Bumrah was on fire against LSG and picked four wickets for 22 runs, paving the way for a magnificent win for the hosts. The spell helped Bumrah top the charts for most wickets for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. With 171 wickets, Bumrah leapfrogged Sri Lanka veteran Lasith Malinga in the list. The win was MI's fifth consecutive win, and it helped the team jump to third position in the IPL 2025 points table.
