Virat Kohli continued his record-breaking run in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) after continuing a good run of form during the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
As Kohli walked out to bat for RCB in a chase of 163 runs with a new opening partner, Jacob Bethell in Phil Salt's absence. Shortly, the 36-year-old etched his name in the history books as he completed 400 runs in the ongoing tournament in a run that seen him make five-centuries in the season before tonight's game.

This is the third successive season in which Kohli has managed to cross the 400-run mark in a season, while the 11th time in his career, making him the first player to achieve the feat. Infact, no player before Kohli had even reached the milestone 10 times in their career.

Kohli is the only player in IPL history to play all 18 seasons of the league for the same franchise. Since being signed by RCB in the U-19 draft ahead of the inaugural edition in 2008, the Indian cricket legend has stayed with them and even led them on a full-time basis from the 2013 to 2021 season.
Kohli is the leading run-getter in IPL history and is nearing the 8500-run mark. He is the only player with 7000 and 8000 runs in the league's history. He also holds the record for the most centuries with eight tons.
The ex-RCB captain won the orange cap last time and is the only Indian to win it multiple times. He is contention to win it again this season. Kohi is one of three players to hit 400 runs this season, alongside Sai Sudarshan and Suryakumar Yadav.
