Virat Kohli seemingly lost his cool at KL Rahul as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) played out a tense clash in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday (April 27) in a vital match in the playoffs race.

Kohli held for RCB as they attempted to chase down a target of 163 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi after the visitors lost three early wickets. Earlier, Rahul played a gritty knock of 41 in 39 balls and was the top scorer for the home team as they posted a respectable total on the board on a tricky surface.

Kohli and Krunal Pandya put RCB back on track in the chase with a massive partnership as both players made half-centuries.

However, tempers flared during the high-pressure run-chase, with Virat Kohli left fuming at KL Rahul. In visuals shared by the broadcasters during an over break, Kohli was spotted having a heated chat with Rahul, clearly not happy with some action of the wicket-keeper behind the stumps. However, the audio was not clear enough to figure out what was actually being said.

It is worth noting that during the reverse fixture at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Rahul's knock of 93 in 53 balls helped DC beat RCB by wickets. Later, his aggressive 'This is My Home Ground' celebration went viral.

While Rahul plays for DC in the IPL, he hails from Karnataka and has played most of his cricket in Bengaluru while growing up and in domestic cricket. Rahul was part of the RCB camp in 2013 and 2016.

On the other hand, Kohli has only played for RCB in his IPL career, which started in the inaugural season in 2008. However, he comes from Delhi and continues to play for them in domestic cricket. Infact, the star batter was born and brought up in the national capital.
