Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will host Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 42nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Tuesday, April 24th, 2025. Led by Rajat Patidar, RCB will be looking to solidify their position in the top four of the points table, while Rajasthan Royals, led by Riyan Parag in the absence of regular captain Sanju Samson, would look to break their four-game losing streak. The toss is scheduled to take place at 7:00 pm IST in Bengaluru.
Pitch Report: The pitch here is expected to be a good batting wicket, and the average score so far here has been close to 170. The weather might play a big part as batting gets easier under lights. The conditions today are expected to be hot and humid, and dew might make batting easier in the second half. While rain forced the last game at Chinnaswamy to be a 14-over contest, it is likely to stay away on Thursday.

The match will be telecast live on Star Sports Network, while the live streaming of the match will be available on JioHotstar.
On paper, RCB look a far better side, having won their last encounter against Punjab Kings (PBKS) by seven wickets, but their record in this stadium has been far from satisfactory. They have lost four and won three against the Royals here. For RR, this is a very important game, and one more loss from here on might just be the end of the road for the former champions in this tournament. They are currently placed seventh in the points table, just above Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). RCB will start as favourites, given their current form, but the Royals can spring a surprise, given their record at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
