Before team's game against the Rajasthan Royals on Thursday, April 24, Anil Kumble stated that Royal Challengers Bangalore can only resolve their home problems if they can accurately evaluate the Chinnaswamy surface. Bangalore has played three home games without winning any of them. Their performance away from home, where they have won every game, has contrasted sharply with their home record.

Anil Kumble's advice to RCB

Before the match against Rajasthan, RCB skipper Rajat Patidar acknowledged that the pitch was difficult, but that did not justify their defeats at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Kumble stated that if RCB were to bat first at the venue, they would have to assess the pitch and determine the winning total accurately.

"Batting first, they have not been great at the Chinnaswamy Stadium and when they have runs on the board, it probably gets the best out of their batters. Assessing that pitch is really important, and they have not been able to do that while batting first," said Anil Kumble while addressing the media on JioStar.

At home against the Gujarat Titans, Delhi Capitals, and Punjab Kings, RCB have suffered crushing losses in each match. They play the Rajasthan Royals, who will be led by Riyan Parag and will not have injured Sanju Samson. In a day match played away from home in Jaipur, RCB crushed Rajasthan, winning by nine wickets. Devdutt Padikkal, Phil Salt, and Virat Kohli all played exceptionally well in the match.

RCB has 10 points from 8 games, which puts them in fourth place in the league rankings. By overtaking the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians, who now hold the second and third spots in the table, they could move up to the second spot if they defeat Rajasthan.
