The management of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) squad has complained against Jaideep Bihani, the convenor of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA), to the Rajasthan government, requesting action against his recent remarks accusing them of foul play. This follows Bihani's accusations over the 36th Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) match between the Rajasthan Royals and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
Following the devastating team loss to the Lucknow-based franchise in the match, Bihani had accused the Rajasthan Royals of foul play.
Bihani's remarks were described as 'completely false, baseless and devoid of any evidence' by Deep Roy, who was speaking on behalf of the Rajasthan team franchise. 'These public allegations cause significant reputational damage, fuel unnecessary controversy, and attempt to mislead the public', the complaint letter further mentionsed.
He requested action against Bhayani's behavior in a letter addressed to Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, the sports minister, and Bhajanlal Sharma, the chief minister of Rajasthan.
After being given a target of 181 runs in the crucial match, the Rajasthan Royals team, captained by Riyan Parag, needed nine runs to win in the last over. They unexpectedly lost the game by two runs, though. Following the defeat, Bihani had questioned the team's unexpected home loss with needing only a few runs to win and had raised suspicions of foul play.
