Rajasthan Royals are not having the best of seasons in the IPL 2025. They have lost 6 out of their 8 games of the season so far, and languish at the 8th spot in the points table. Their last two losses against Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were particularly crushing as they were defeated from winning positions. Amidst this, Jaideep Bihani, Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) ad hoc committee convener, accused them of match fixing in their 2-run loss against LSG.
According to a report by The Times of India, the RCA received lesser number of tickets than they would usually get, and hence levelled these shocking allegations on the franchise in displeasure.
The RCA would usually be given around 1800 tickets per match, but that number has been reduced to 1000-1200 in 2025. This is especially because the Rajasthan State Sports Council is dealing with the arrangements this season.
"At the start of the season, the BCCI gave us a clear guideline that since the RCA is dissolved, we would be dealing with the Rajasthan State Sports Council (RSSC) for all arrangements," an RR insider told the publication.
"The disgruntled member of the RCA ad-hoc committee and his associates are demanding an exorbitant amount of tickets, and we are not entertaining them. This is the sole reason behind all this drama," he added.
Jaideep Bihani's MASSIVE Allegations Against RSSC
According to the BCCI guidelines, the Rajasthan State Sports Council has the right to host the IPL games at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, while the rest of the matches- domestic or international- are conducted by the RCA. RR has said that the franchise works diligently with the Sports Council to ensure matches are conducted smoothly in Jaipur.
Jaideep Vihani accused the Sports Council of conspiring against sports interests by removing the ad-hoc committee, formed by the Rajasthan government, in matters of hosting the IPL. He also alleged that the council did not even issue any official accreditation cards for the members of the ad-hoc committee.
