India will tour England for a five-match Test series after IPL 2025. Given their success in the 2021 series, the fans have high hopes from the visitors. The Virat Kohli-led side returned home with a 2-1 lead after four Tests. India lost the one-off Test played next year. The BCCI will announce the squad for the England tour in May.

Few weeks before the team selection, PTI has provided a huge update on Rohit Sharma. As per the report, Rohit Sharma will tour England and lead the visitors if he is fit and fine.

Rohit stood down from the fifth Test match against Australia due to his below-par form. During the game, Rohit confirmed that he wasn't retiring from Test cricket and will continue to lead the team in two formats he plays.

Rohit-led India won the 2025 Champions Trophy and he now looks set to lead the Men in Blue in the 2027 ODI World Cup. As far as Test cricket goes, the reports have hinted that he will tour England.

Rohit-led India had a forgettable run in the 2024/25 season. India lost their first home series in 12 years as New Zealand whitewashed them 3-0. Jasprit Bumrah-led India kicked off the Australia tour with a win in Nagpur.

Rohit-led India lost the 2nd Test, drew the 3rd Test and suffered another defeat in the 4th Test. Bumrah once again led India in the fifth Test match. Rohit also struggled on the batting front and only managed to score 31 runs in 5 innings across 3 matches.

Virat Kohli looks set to tour England while Jasprit Bumrah will lead the pace attack if he is fit. Mohammed Shami could make his Test comeback to share the new ball with Bumrah. Mohammed Siraj is a confirmed selection in the Test team. The five Tests will be played from June 20 to August 4.
