Sai Sudharsan has played a significant role in the Gujarat Titans' (GT) juggernaut in IPL 2025. With six wins in eight matches, the team sits pretty at the top of the table. Sudharsan has carried the GT's batting on his shoulders. He has been brilliant, smashing five fifties in eight games. With over 400 runs, he is the current Orange Cap holder in the IPL 2025.

Sudharsan's exploits in the IPL have left Ambati Rayudu in awe. Rayudu lauded Sudharsan and said he shows that T20 cricket can be played in a traditional style.

"It gives us such joy to watch him bat. As a classical batsman, he shows how the game can still be played in a traditional style- use the pace of the ball, play under your eyes, keep it along the ground, and play smart cricket. Playing smart cricket brings runs and also builds confidence. When you have that kind of confidence in the dugout, it creates a ripple effect. Everyone feeds off that momentum, and your judgment and clarity of thought become top-notch. That's what we're seeing with him this season," Rayudu told JioStar.

Sudharsan's strike rate is 152.19, the lowest among the top four batters, but he has been effective. Earlier, Sudharsan reflected on his batting style and said that he will not limit himself to a single playing style.

"I feel it's all about the situation for me. If we have to go out there and chase a 270 or 280, or even a 300 total, you have to be versatile enough to do that. At the same time, you have to be able to grind if we're defending a 140 or 150 score - especially when the wicket is very difficult," Sai said.
