- An Instagram post by PBKS resurfaced on social media
Virat Kohli was at his energetic best on Sunday (April 20) as Royal Challengers Bengaluru looked for instant revenge against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh.
For those unversed, this is the second match in three days between the two teams after PBKS beat RCB in a rain-hit clash on Friday (April 18) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium by five-wickets.
The star RCB batter was seen giving a send-off to Prabhsimran Singh after the PBKS opener made a knock of 33 in just 17 balls from Krunal Pandya's bowling.
However, it was after the wicket of Nehal Wadera that Kohli's 'Cold Celebration' went viral on social media. Many on social media suspected it was a response to post on PBKS's official Instagram account, which appeared to mock Kohli.

Talking about the match, RCB are looking for their fifth away win in a row this season. After Rajat Patidar won the toss and chose to bowl first, PBKS made a score of 158 on the board with Prabhsiran finishing as their top-scorer. Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya got two wickets each, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the most economical bowler as he gave away just 26 runs in four overs.
In reply, RCB lost Phil Salt's wicket early, with Arshdeep Singh once again dismissing him in the first over of the innings. However, Kohli and Paddikkal ensured RCB got a quick start in the powerplay with 54 runs on the board. At the end of the sixth over, Kohli made 31 runs in just 20 balls.
The former RCB captain has been in red-hot form in the 2025 season after winning the orange cap last year. Before today's match, Kohli had 249 runs in seven innings at an average of 49 with three half-centuries.
