- The two teams will face each other two times in six days
- Both teams have two wins and four losses this season
The 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) clash between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will see the 7th and 9th place teams in the ongoing season go head-to-head at the Wankhede Stadium as both aim to revive their season.
The two sides have identical records so far in the league, with two wins and four defeats each. However, both are coming into the match on the back of a victory. SRH defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Hyderabad in what was the second-highest run-chase in IPL history.
On the other hand, MI defeated table-toppers Delhi Capitals (DC) by 12 runs in a dramatic clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Hyderabad.
MI and SRH have played each other 23 times in history. MI narrowly lead the head-to-head with 13 wins while SRH have record 10 victories.
At the Wankhede Stadium, the two sides have played each other eight times in which MI have won six times, including a super-over win in 2019. One of SRH's two wins at the ground over the five-time champions came in 2018 when they remarkably defended a total of just 118.
This is the first of two matches between the sides in six days as SRH will host MI in Hyderabad on April 23.
