Vipraj Nigam made headlines in the game between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League 2025 when he picked up the wicket of RCB talisman Virat Kohli. The 20-year-old all-rounder, who hails from Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh, was smashed for a six in the over, but that did not deter the right-arm leg break bowler, as he lured Kohli with a loopy delivery that got rid of the Indian maestro.

Vipraj Nigam is the product of the UP T20 league, where he picked 20 wickets in 11 outings in 2024. His performance in the league helped him to make his debut for UP in all formats.

Virpraj is also known for his lusty blows with the willow. He showed a glimpse of it in his debut IPL game against LSG in IPL 2025 wherein he scored a match-winning 39 runs in just 15 balls.

Interestingly, Delhi Capitals signed him for just INR 50 Lakh in the mega auctions held last year.
