Mumbai Indian's skipper Hardik Pandya's hilarious action during the toss left everyone stunned, including the opposition captain Rajat Patidar. In the presence of Ravi Shastri, the toss of the Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) took place with both captainse Hardik Pandya and Rajat Patidar in the middle.
The coin was handed to the home captain, Hardik Pandya and he tried something new with the coin flip, probably to let it fall in his favour. Hardik Pandya flipped the coin backwards and due to that action, the coin fell far from the designated place. Everyone, including Ravi Shastri and Rajat Patidar, was shocked and saw the funny side.
His bizarre action worked in his favour as he won the toss on MI's home ground and decided to bowl with dew playing a key role. Wankhede favours batters and dew could be a big factor at this venue. This could be a high-scoring Monday night as both teams are packed with prominent hitters.
RCB last won at the venue against MI in 2015 and have lost six times in a row since. The Bengaluru-based franchise defeated Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk after 17 years earlier this seasons. MI should be a little concerned as they haven't been very impressive this season with just one win in four matches.
Wankhede is going to be thrilled with the presence of two big stars of Indian cricket, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma and it is the only time when both will play against each other in the league stage of IPL 2025. Jasprit Bumrah will feature in the first game of IPL 2025 as he missed the first four due to injury. Rohit is also back in the side, he missed the last game due to a knee injury against Lucknow Super Giants
