Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jofra Archer Guide RR To Second Straight Win In IPL 2025

RR lost the toss and were put in to bat first. They got off to a brilliant start as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson hit a half-century stand for the opening wicket. Sanju Samson was the first wicket to fall. Jaiswal went on to smash his first fifty of the IPL 2025. However, he could not convert it to a big score as he departed for 67. After that Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer continued the momentum with a 47-run partnership. After Hetmyer got out, Parag went on to slam 43 as Rajasthan Royals scored 205/4 at the end of their 20 overs.
Jofra Archer was all over the Punjab Kings in the run chase as he struck in his first over dismissing Priyansh Arya and the in-form Shreyas Iyer. After the initial blow, Glenn Maxwell and Nehal Wadhera tried to get the momentum back into the innings with a blistering partnership, with Wadhera even slamming a half-century. However, the RR bowlers restricted the flow of runs as they won by 50 runs. Archer stole the show with a spell of 3/25 in his 4 overs, and went on to win the Player of the Match.
