He has been in red-hot form throughout the IPL 2025, and he managed to play an important knock in this match as well. In the process he managed to create a bit of history.

Sai Sudharsan scored 49 from 36 balls against RCB, hitting 7 fours and a six. He now has 20 scores of 30+ in the IPL in just 28 innings. In the process, he became the fastest to score 20 thirty-plus scores in the tournament's history. After 28 innings, Shaun Marsh had 19 30+ scores, while Matthew Hayden and Lendl Simmons had 18 such scores each.

Sai Sudharsan also has just 1 single-digit dismissal in his entire IPL career, which is the least for a player in history after 28 innings in the tournament.

Sai Sudharsan scored half-centuries in the first two games of the IPL 2025 for Gujarat Titans against Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings respectively. If he had scored one more run tonight, then he could have scored three consecutive half-centuries. Hewould have become the first player in history to score three fifties in the first three matches of an IPL season.

Sai Sudharsan now overtakes Shreyas Iyer to become the Indian with the most runs in IPL 2025. With 187 runs, he is just two runs behind Nicholas Pooran, who currently holds the IPL 2025 Orange Cap. If he had scored three more runs, he could have snatched the Orange Cap from the swashbuckling West Indian batter.
