Suryakumar Yadav reacted to a report suggesting that he is set to follow Arjun Tenudlkar and Yashasvi Jaiswal's path and leave Mumbai ahead of the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy. The rumour mill was strong with suggestions that the Indian T20I captain could leave his boyhood team and join Goa for the upcoming domestic season.
The news emerged after it was confirmed that Yashasvi Jaiswal had decided to leave Mumbai in a shock move. The 23-year-old will be joining Goa and following the footsteps of Arjun Tendulkar and Siddhesh Lad, who made similar moves in the past.
There have also been rumours that Tilak Varma could leave Hyderabad and join Goa to.

Will Suryakumar Yadav Join Goa?

Suryakumar took to social media and rubbished rumours of him leaving Mumbai and joining Goa in a hard-hitting post on social media.
"Script writer hai ya journalist? Agar hasna hai toh I will stop watching comedy movies and start reading these articles. Ekdum bakwas," wrote the Indian T20I captain.
The 34-year-old has been playing for Mumbai since his junior cricket days. He made his debut for the senior side across all three formats in 2010 and has kept playing for them whenever he is not on international duty.
Suryakumar is Mumbai's third-highest run-getter in Ranji Trophy history with 5392 runs in 77 matches at an average of 44.93 with 13 centuries. In List-A cricket, he is the second-highest run-getter for the team with an average of 38.66 with three centuries. As far as the shortest format is concerned, he has made 1552 runs in 66 matches for Mumbai. Only Shreyas Iyer and Aditya Tare have made more than the reigning Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) champions.
Mumbai are the most successful side in Indian domestic cricket history with 42 Ranji Trophy titles. They have also won the Irani Cup 15 times. The Mumbaikers also have 8 Wills Trophy titles, four Vijay Hazare Trophy crowns, alongside winnning the SMAT twice.
