Gujarat Titans continued their winning momentum as they defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 8 wickets. RCB fans will leave home disappointed as they were handed their first loss in the IPL 2025, that too in the first game of the season at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This loss has caused a big shift in the points table, as RCB have lost their coveted top spot for the first time.

RCB have now dropped down to the third spot in the points table, despite being on equal points with league leaders Punjab Kings and second-placed Delhi Capitals. This is because of their net run rate of +1.149. Despite the win, Gujarat Titans remain on 4th spot, with four points from 3 games and a net run rate of 0.807.
