Delhi Capitals are all set to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in an exciting match at the IPL 2025 on Sunday (March 30). This will be a big opportunity for DC to continue their winning momentum after a thrilling victory in the first game against Lucknow Super Giants. However, they will not be playing their 'home' match at their original home venue of the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Instead, they are playing their second consecutive home game at the Dr. YS Rajasekara Reddy Stadium at Visakhapatnam.

Delhi Capitals are playing their first two games of the IPL 2025 against LSG and SRH at Visakhapatnam instead of Delhi. However, neither the franchise nor the BCCI has provided any clear reason as to why they have shifted their base for these matches. This might be a strategy by the authorities to expand their fan base and provide people from venues without a host IPL team to enjoy matches of the cash-rich league live.

DC played some of their home games at the same venue in IPL 2024, because the WPL playoffs took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, and the venue needed time to be prepared for the tournament. However, this was not the case in IPL 2025.

KL Rahul was the most expensive purchase by the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2025 auction, as he fetched a price of Rs 14 crore. He is touted to be the most important member of the team. However, he missed the first match of the IPL 2025 against LSG. This was because he was with his family for the birth of his baby daughter.

The Delhi Capitals have received a big boost, as KL Rahul is all set to return to action and make his debut for the franchise against SRH.
