Delhi Capitals' (DC) pacer Mitchell Starc shone with the ball and took his maiden IPL five-wicket haul during the IPL 2025 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday (March 30). The left-arm pacer toppled SRH's batting with key scalps of Ishan Kishan, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Travis Head.

Ishan, who bagged a duck after a century in the first game, departed for 2 off 5 balls. Nitish departed for a duck while Head scored 22 off 12 balls. Starc dismissed Harshal Patel and Wiaan Mulder to complete his maiden IPL five-fer.

Mitchell Starc created history in the game against SRH and became the first overseas bowler to take a five-wicket haul for Delhi Capitals. In fact, he is only the second bowler to achieve this milestone for the Delhi-based franchise.

Amit Mishra is the only other bowler to take a five-wicket haul for them. The IPL legend scalped five wickets against Deccan Chargers in a home game in 2008. 17 years later, Starc has become only the second DC bowler to achieve this milestone.

Amit Mishra tops the list of bowlers with most wickets for DC. He scalped 106 wickets in 99 matches. He is followed by Kagiso Rabada, who scalped 76 wickets. Rabada is now part of Gujarat Titans. With 62 wickets, Axar Patel sits at the third spot. Axar joined the franchise in 2019 and has been with DC since then. He was appointed DC's captain before IPL 2025.

Courtesy of Starc's five-fer, SRH were bowled out for a total of 163 in 18.4 overs. A little-known Aniket Verma rescued the Orange Army with a knock of 74 off 41 balls. Heinrich Klaasen also scored a crucial 32 off 19 balls. For DC, Kuldeep Yadav also made a vital contribution and scalped 3 wickets. DC won the game by 7 wickets.
