Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will host Rajat Patidar's Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their second match of IPL 2025. The last time two teams squared off, RCB pulled off a close win to qualify for the playoffs of IPL 2024. CSK crashed out of the league stage. The result of the fixture heated up their rivalry and RCB might face heat from the fans.
The much-awaited fixture will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium from 7:30 PM IST. The toss will take place at 7:00 PM IST. The fixture will be broadcast live on the Star Sports TV channel. It will be streamed live on the JioHotstar app.
Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni will be two marquee players to watch out for in the fixture. Virat is just 5 runs away from overtaking Shikhar Dhawan and becoming the batsman with the most runs against the Yellow Army in IPL.
Both teams won their opening game. RCB registered a win over defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders in the season opener of the season. CSK defeated Mumbai Indians in a home game. The team winning this game will finish the day at the top spot in the points table.
