The WPL 2025 is heating up as we have finally entered the business end of the tournament. The final league match of the tournament was held on March 11 (Tuesday) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, in which the latter team won to deny the former a chance of direct entry into the final. Even though MI lost by 11 runs, star England all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt impressed with a scintillating half-century, as she created history.
Nat Sciver-Brunt slammed 69 runs from 35 balls in a whirlwind inning that included 9 fours and 2 sixes. The MI superstar is currently leading the orange cap charts in the WPL 2025 with 416 runs. She now becomes the first player in history to slam more than 400 runs in single season of the WPL.

RCB Prevent MI From Direct Qualification In WPL 2025 Final
In the final match of the WPL 2025 group stage, Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl first. Royal Challengers Bengaluru put on a massive 199 runs at the end of their 20 overs. Smriti Mandhana led the charge with a 53-run knock from 37 balls. Ellysse Perry, Richa Ghosh, and Georgina Wareham all chipped in with important knocks.
The RCB bowlers were all over the MI batters as they got starts but could not convert them into big scores. Nat Sciver-Brunt put on a one-woman show as MI were bundled out for 188, 11 runs short. Player of the Match Sneh Rana was the star with the ball, picking up three wickets for 26 runs.
Mumbai Indians thus failed to finish first in the group stage, as Delhi Capitals gained direct entry into the final. MI will now play Gujarat Giants in the qualifier, with the winner playing the final against DC.
