Mumbai Indians (MI) will be one of the top title contenders in IPL 2025. The five-time IPL Champions successfully retained their core before the mega-auction and then bought some of the best players in the business. MI look like a formidable side going into the new season and they will hope to end their below-par run in IPL.
Under Hardik Pandya, MI fail to make it to the second round of IPL 2024. The franchise has confirmed that Hardik will continue as the captain. Rohit Sharma, India's present Test and ODI captain, and Suryakumar Yadav, India's present T20I captain, will play under Hardik in the next season.
The 18th season of the T20 league will kick off on March 21. More than a month before the season, we asked ChatGPT about MI's likely XI for IPL 2025. The artificial intelligence chatbot made some interesting picks and ignored Arjun Tendulkar. Here we have a look at MI's likely playing XI picked by ChatGPT -
ChatGPT picked Rohit Sharma and Will Jacks as MI's openers. They bought Jacks for Rs 5.25 crore in the mega-auction. Royal Challengers Bengaluru made a shocking call not to use their Right to Match card for Jacks.
Suryakumar Yadav will bat at number 3 for MI. He will be followed by Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya. Tilak has been batting at number 3 in T20Is. Hardik will have the responsibility to contribute in both departments.
ChatGPT picked Ryan Rickelton as MI's wicketkeeper. Mitchell Santner was among the overseas players picked by MI. There was no place for Arjun Tendulkar in MI's playing XI as ChatGPT picked Trent Boult as the sole left-arm pacer. Jasprit Bumrah and Deepak Chahar are the other pacers in the team.
