The Indian women's team are currently taking on England in the final match of the three-match ODI series at Chester-Le-Street. This is a must-win match for both teams, as the series is level 1-1. If India win this game, then they will clinch the series as well. A win against the English side will be a massive boost for the Indian team in year that the ODI World Cup 2025 will be held. The Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur took things into her own hands as India won the toss and batted first. She has now managed to create a massive record which no other woman has ever achieved.
Harmanpreet Kaur slammed 102 from 84 balls, in an innings studded with 14 fours. This was her 7th century in ODIs, and her third on English soil. She becomes the first away player to hit three centuries on English soil. She overtakes legendary India batter Mithali Raj and Australia captain Meg Lanning, both of whom have two ODI centuries in England.
