Old Trafford in Manchester is set to host the fourth Test between England and India, starting July 23. As the Indian team arrived at the iconic venue with an eye on levelling the series, the atmosphere in the Indian dressing room remained cheerful. Ahead of the big match, the Indian players enjoyed a unique crossover event in Manchester, meeting players and staff from Manchester United. One of the biggest moments from the Indian team’s visit to the village of Carrington was head coach Gautam Gambhir’s photo with Ruben Amorim, the manager of the Red Devils, which went viral.
The BCCI shared multiple photographs of Team India's meeting with the Manchester United players and coaches, with the caption "United in Manchester." India captain Shubman Gill and vice-captain Rishabh Pant chose to play football at Manchester United's training ground in Carrington.
In one of the pictures, India pacer Mohammed Siraj was seen bowling to Manchester United defender Harry Maguire. The photo was also shared by Adidas. Adidas is the official kit sponsor of Team India and also sponsors United’s kits.
But the moment that attracted most attention was Gambhir's Instagram story with the caption "We are 'United'," featuring Amorim. The former was seen wearing the United jersey while Amorim wore the Indian Test kit. The meeting was facilitated by Adidas.
